Introduction

On June 18th, 2005 about 20 cyclists, plus me (Harry Forsdick) driving the van, will embark on an amazing adventure riding 1200 miles in the mountains of Colorado, on a route that is an accumulated climb of 85,000 feet. This will take place over a 14 day period in which we will go over 21 passes and peaks and cross the Continental Divide 8 times.

Week One

      Day 1 : Lakewood to Silverthorne — Frontrangia
      Day 2 : Silverthorne to Leadville — Ski Country
      Day 3 : Leadville to Basalt — Roaring Fork
      Day 4 : Basalt to Hotchkiss — Western Slope
      Day 5 : Hotchkiss to Lake City — Black & Blue Mesas + Powderhorn
      Day 6 : Lake City to Monte Vista — Southwest Style
      Day 7 : Monte Vista to Gunnison — UFO Alley

Week Two

      Day 8 : Gunnison to Buena Vista — Taylor Park
      Day 9 : Buena Vista to Westcliffe — Arkansas River Valley
      Day 10 : Westcliffe to Fairplay — South Park
      Day 11 : Fairplay to Winter Park — The Other Triple Bypass
      Day 12 : Winter Park to Estes Park — Rocky Mountain National Park
      Day 13 : Estes Park to Idaho Springs — Peak to Peak Highway
      Day 14 : Idaho Springs to Lakewood — Squaw Pass and Mount Evans
